When I try to create a new script in the script editor I receive the following error message:
Can't add file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\Data\Public\<AddOnName_AddOnGuid>\Scripts\test.charScript. File could already exists in depot, try to sync first.
The file does not already exist in that location and I'm guessing this is a windows permission issue (writing to Program Files). I can create a script file manually in that location and it will show up in the editor but then I cannot save any changes to the script.

I have tried running the divinity 2 engine as administrator, taking ownership of the Divinity Original Sin 2 folder and all subfolders, applying Full Control for folder permissions to every user/principal group. Nothing seems to help. I can edit and save changes to the script in external editors without issues.

I am using Windows 10 64-bit.
