Gisteren was het launch-party van Beyond Divinity met de Larian kerels, ik was uitgenodigd en aangezien het de hele avond eten en drank gratis was, was ik natuurlijk van de partij. Het begon al meteen goed toen iemand in het begin van de avond opmerkte dat tegenover elke programmeur een vrouwelijk wezen zat dat naar de naam "vriendin" luisterde terwijl tegenover elke art¡est een andere artiest zat ;-) Tijd voor een rondje Programmers Vs. Artists dus en de sfeer dat er dan ook meteen goed in.

Gratis drank en programmeurs, dat gaat helaas niet goed samen dus het duurde niet lang vooraleer de sfeer er helemaal in zat. Op een bepaald moment begon Kyril, de Russische huis-componist, op de piano te rammen en konden de zatte programmeurs hun niet meer houden en begonnen ze uit volle borst mee te zingen... een streling voor het oor (als je er eerst enkele kaasblokjes in perste). Natuurlijk kon Sven, de big boss, zich niet laten doen dus na enkele liters whisky-cola (volgens Deathknight een pure verkrachting van een godendrank), was hij mee op niveau met de rest : ladderzat!

Als ze bij Larian even goed games kunnen maken dan ze kunnen feesten, dan zit het gebeiteld met Beyond Divinity

Yesterday it was launch party of Beyond Divinity with the guys from Larian Studios, and because the food and drinks were free the entire evening, I was there offcourse. It started already good when somebody noticed that in front of every programmer there was a female being, which listened to the name "girlfriend" while in front of every artist there was another artist <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />. Time for a round of programmers vs. Artists, and the ambiance was immediatly very good.

Free drinks and programmers, too bad but they don't go along together very good, so it didn't take long before ambiance was magnificent. On a certain moment Kyril, the Russian composer, started to play on the piano and the drunk programmers couldn't hold themself and started to sing... really magnificent to hear (if you put some cheese in your ears). Offcourse could Sven, the big bos, couldn't let it remain behind so after some liters whisky-cola (as Deathknight says: a pure violation of a drink of the gods), he was on the same level as the rest: drunk as hell!

If they can make games as they can party then beyond divinity will be magnificent.

Well, since i was a driver i couldn't drink much. So i took also quite some nice short movies with my little IXUS V2. I have very good ones from Lynn.
