Just arrived at Reaper's Coast. Playing couch co-op with my gf. The game has been running relatively smoothly until now. However, as soon as the ship arrived, the loading time increased from one minute to 15. I would't mind that much, but even when it loads, the game is unplayable afterwards. It's impossible to "walk" for more than 2-3 seconds (no exaggeration) without freezing momentarily. I don't dare entering a fight because it would take minutes to unfreeze. I tried lowering the graphics but to no avail.

I find it really weird because Reaper's Coast seems to be the turning point. It's not that I had the problem from the beginning of the game and it became worse gradually.

I know that many people have the same issue, but I chose to create one more thread to emphasize it. This game is awesome. It needs a fix asap.

I was seriously thinking to buy a new video card just to try fixing this problem. I love it THAT much. But I don't even know if that will fix anything.

I'd appreciate some feedback, suggestions etc..

Yea, I did notice that the load times for Reaper's Coast are a little longer, but I think you might be exaggerating when you say 15 minutes. I have notice some frame rate drops but it normally only happens if there are a crap ton of ground effects or if the game is saving. I'd take a look at your PC hardware before you say it's the game.

It is definitely the game. There are tons of reports about the same issue on the net. The 15 minutes are not an exaggeration, I'm keeping track of time. I'm not trying to argue, a simple google search is ample to confirm it. The question is howcome there's no fix or explanation yet? I'll try to reinstall today and see if something happens.

Strange, but I had 0 issues with game performance so far.

could have to do with your operating system Eugen. My friend runs it on Win7 and can load the safe files that are corrupt for me without problem.

This guy isn't joking. I have the same problem. The game is unplayable once you enter ACT II.

ACT I ran flawlessly and I had no problems. My systems ran the game well at 30fps with custom settings.

My loading times have increased to 15mins and there is constant stuttering when walking , every 2-3 seconds. I can't even play the game anymore.

This is a common problem and has already been reported many times here as well as on the steam forums.

Just because you don't have this problem , doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.
