I am very new to using tools like the divinity engine in general so I have some questions.

I have already made some easy replacement mod for visual models and textures of existing base items. But how do I change for example the colour of them?
Since when changing models it is more like a global/general change, while items seems to be coloured individually in-game when found.
I do not mean change the colour of "a" item but rather change the colour of all player found items.

What can and can't scripting do in mods? I haven't been able to open existing scripts in the editor, do I need to unpack resource .pak files?
Could one re-colour items from scripts, etc?

How hard would it be to re-align how a mesh is tied to a character, or rather how do I change how a elf hold a crossbow(since it floats)?
