Played Act 1 flawlessly. Act 2 a couple hours in and suddenly my load time went from 30-45 seconds to 8+ minutes. And while it is annoying, I could wait 8 minutes except that now when it [i]does[/i] load I have HUGE lag. Click 'bedroll' and then wait for 21 seconds before the spell goes off. Eventually the game 'catches up' and it is playable at a decent frame rate, but gone are the days of quick saving/loading.
Has Larian acknowledged this problem?
I did try the suggested fixes, i.e.
Reinstalled game
Checked file integrity
Disabled steam cloud saves
removed/renamed save game path
lowered settings
updated drivers
It is a slightly older machine, but the fact that it ran and loaded Act 1, and will run Act 2 eventually suggests that it is something more.
