Well actually, when I changed the settings to "Glide" it worked better although load times increased big time. Te test with "Glide" selected showed much smoother colour shadings as well. But when playing the game (no legs this time!! WHEEEEE <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stupid.gif" alt="" />) I suddenly lost the control panel on the bottom of my screen... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />
I then changed it back to "Direct3d" with the "Use Alphabit" box checked and... THAT DID THE JOB! For now at least... I hope that this is the end of problems and the beginning fun!
Anyways, thanks for the help! I am very grateful for your effort. Any chance of someone explaining the actual difference between "Glide" and "Direct3d" (my Voodoo 2 should support both but the "Direct3d" looks faster and more stable, although the test shows smoother transitions with the "Glide"), and what does the "Use Alphabit" mean (except "this option removes any anoying extra pairs of legs!!!" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />)?
