Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Help/Tips/Tricks Stuck in act 2 kinda

SO i've basically explored everything except that blood island and i'm at the blackpits excavation site at the white magister waiting to blow that wall up to the big glowing blue thing. the reason i'm saying that i'm stuck is because when i entered the blackpit oil fields Fane's dialogue hasn't updated at all.

Is he supposed to have any dialog prior to this? it seems weird that he wouldn't cause i feel like i'm basically done with act 2.
Also i have no idea when i should summon the war owl for the paladin quest? any tips there?

I don't think fane says anything/quest updates until something happens at the end of the cave. You use the war owl after clearing near the shriekers in the black pits.
