I noticed after a recent load that Fane lost his entire inventory, and his equipped wand and shield. I am in the middle of Act 2. If I want everything back, I will need to load a much earlier save. His inventory contained his mask of the shapeshifter and a face ripper. Now when I talk to him, his dialogue options say he needs to find his face ripper again. Is there anyway to get the face ripper back without having to go back to a previous save? Will not having a face ripper or mask of the shapeshifter block further progress in Fane's storyline?

There's at least three face rippers I know of. Kniles has one at Fort Joy. Knile's Room in Driftwood Tavern 2nd Floor. Shady elf dude's basement in locked room I think.

I lost the first from Knile's dungeon and his room. So there's a 3rd one in Ryker's house? That's good to know. I hope I don't lose that one too.

For the face ripper:

1) What is a "suitable corpse" it says it can rip faces from suitable corpses. I have tried a few... spell works and give an area to cast but the corpse can not be targeted... nothing can.

2) when you rip a face, will your mask have the specific face of who you ripped... or is it just random of that race?

3) If you are male and the face you rip is female...does this work? (maybe my issue with point one).
