Hello everyone,
I've been trying to set up a weapon from the root menu and give it some stats via the stats editor. But that doesn't seem to work. Even when I'm not assigning a custom made (weapon)stat it doesn't show that in the game view (where you can control the dummy). The Sword is just the standard weapon.
Do I need to activate another check box to get this to work? Or do I need to "refresh" the changed stats somehow?
Edit: So I will try to explain which steps I did.
Step 1: Created a new Addon with only GM checkbox
Step 2: Created a new Level within the Addon
Step 3: Added a Terrain and placed the dummy on it
Step 4: Reloaded the AI Panel completely
Step 5: Placed a GameMaster_WPN_TestSword_01 from the root template on the terrain
Step 6: Selected the new added Sword in the outliner tab
Step 7: checked the inherited Stat
Step 8: Checked the Stat Editor and copied the inherited Stat (Override) it into my Addon
Step 9: Renamed the Stat and changed the Requirement to Strength 12
Step 10: Changed the stat within the sidebar under the "item" category to the new stat (and saved)
Step 11: Changed to Switch Game/Editor and made the dummy pick up the sword
Step 12: The dummy can equip the sword even its strength is too low and the Item description doesn't show the requirement at all
I tried to add a new Sword as well. But it seems I can't even change the visible in-game name and etc. What am I doing wrong? :o
Edit: I tried adding a simple WaterBarrel. Here I can change the in-game name just fine. Weird.
