Hello,
After making some test i have find how to get one more turn on buff applied to your teamate.
I dont know if it is something new or already know by the comunity but anyway im gonna tell you how i do !
First you need to understand how the buff remaining turn are managed:
- If the buff description say "2 turn", when you apply it you got the number 2 on the buff icon, lets call this "stack". To take an example, Death Wish got 2 turn, so, when you apply it you got the Death Wish icon with the number 2 on the target.
- When your character turn start, all buff/debuff (exept permanent one ofc) got a stack decrease from 1.
- When your turn end, if the buff stack is 0 (no number in the icon), the buff is removed. That happen also if you start the turn with 0 stack on the buff, it got removed.
- We can resume this step by step -> New turn for a character, decrease this character buff and debuff stack by 1, remove those with 0 stack, then the character chan use is action point.
Now we know that lets see the 3 different scenario to apply a buff and how many turn you will have it.
- Scenario 1, your ally give you the Death Wish buff
-> then your turn 1 start, the buff stack get decrease from 2 to 1, you benefit from it
-> then your turn 2 start, the buff stack get decrease from 1 to 0, you benefit from it
-> your turn 2 is over, all buff with 0 stack are removed, no more buff for turn 3.
- Scenario 2, you apply the buff to yourself
-> turn 1 start, you apply the buff after the decrease sequence
-> turn 1 is active, you have spend 2 AP and you got 2 more to use with the buff
-> turn 2 start, stack goes from 2 to 1, you still have the buff
-> turn 3 start, stack goes from 1 to 0, this is your last turn with buff
-> Here you have use 2 more AP with the buff (or 4 if you got canon glass)
- Scenario 3, you push the "play later button" and your teamate give you the buff
-> turn 1 start, you play first (perception point)
---> your buff get decrease but you dont have it
---> you push the "play later button"
-> turn 1 again, your teamate turn, he give you the Death Wish buff
-> turn 1 again, you finaly play as the last
---> you already have got the decrease buff sequence before pushing "play later"
---> your buff stack value is 2 and you got all your AP to use it
-> ... turn 2, buff goes from 2 to 1, you benefit from it
-> ... turn 3, buff goes from 1 to 0, you benefit from it untill the end of turn
To resume:
- Scenario 1: got buffed for 2 turn
- Scenario 2: got buffed for 2 turn + 2 or 4 AP
- Scenario 3: got buffed for 3 turn
My way of using it:
I do the classical preparation on my ranger, beat him before start a fight to set his HP at like 10% (the most down possible). My ranger is fane, before starting the fight he is simulating death, then i start the fight. This way he can be REALLY low hp and still skip his turn without getting killed (ofc you need to separate him from your team to prevent aoe damage). When he play (first because of perception) i push play later and enemy just ignore me.. i buff him with my rogue who got enrage and death wish, then he finaly play in last and .. Haawwwww he kick some ass really hard :')
Sorry about my poor english, i have try to cut a lot my message to make it clear but i know it can hurt to understand me, still i hope it will help some ppl who do not know that.
