I'm kinda done with my first map (yay!).

Now to make the minimap... I know you use the world map renderer tool, Kevin used a camera trigger for the rendering.

I can't do that as I have a more restrictive camera.

And the tool make NO sense to me.

So can anyone tell me the steps?

You could place any other trigger and size it to cover the area of interest, or alternatively use the level bounds, although sometimes those get really wonky and huge in my personal experience.

As what usually happens when I fumble around with stuff I use HOURS to get know where and then I post a question and 2 minutes after I find the answer.

So I just zoomed all the way in on the map keeping the camera just above ground and hit the Render all. That apprently did the trick.

Ah ok, so I can make a new trigger, like a new camera trigger and use that? Do I delete it afterwards? Because that would mess my camera op right?

you can keep it or remove it - it doesnt matter - it doesnt interfere with camera at all just juse a boxtrigger, its just an additional object smile

I think just about any trigger works so a box trigger may be a good fit since it won't affect anything much by leaving it in, but if you don't plan to change the level much more and have a final mini-map the deleting then trigger afterwards is probably best.

Ok. I tried with a trigger, but I can see that I can't use a Polygon trigger and as I made the maps pretty close to the edges, but there are. areas I would like NO to show up on the minimap I can't really do that... unless I make more than one box and add them all... hmmm I'll have to try that.
