Just need to know is this a bug or intended nerf? Had hard battle with around 12 11-leveled voidlings with 9 level party and get 0 exp from them. Now can't decide what to do - play further or wait a patch?

Let's just say that I'm quite confident that the 0 XP thing is definitely a bug. I would wait until a patch.

was there any DEVs answers on even some thread after release? It seems that they are deaf to our pleas

I just had the exact same issue, dev comments would be appreciated.

According to this recent interview with Swen, the devs are on holiday: which is kinda fair enough after the hectic run-up to a release, I guess they'll be back in due course...

Ok. Gues they are back now for sure. Did they say something about current bugs? No. Many people paused their playthrough because they don't want to fight for no exp, expecting that this is a bug. Why not just tell us?

To me that would be super hard. Not sure I ever saw that fight in game at that level with 12 enemies alone, but 3 levels higher than you, amazing work if you beat that.

I did notice that in Mordus Cave, some kills did not warrant XP. It was limited.

Yeah there were a bunch of enemies who were killable in one-shot. And they gave 100 XP. At level 10, it takes about 135,000 XP to reach level 11. So those ones were negligible, only serving to waste your AP.

I am long past that part, so I don't think people are talking about the 100 XP enemies not giving XP. I think they're talking about tougher enemies who should be giving some.

In any case if XP in Reaper's cost needs nerfing, it should probably be trimmed off of the level 15 enemies - not all the way down, but a little from each of them.

I decided to roll-back to the previous patch as a temp solution, I have to do the befriend the ship questline, and do the ship battle again and the respec (ugh!) and book crafting stuff. But I do not intend to walk around nerfed especially when I made an extremely hybrid unoptimized non-powerplay party.

Unfortunately later saves are not compatible with the previous patch, this might be modifiable but given the highly cryptic encyclopedic save game format it has more potential break things.

Normally with all classic cRPGs I wait till the game stabilizes and avoid all this drama, but this is simply the perfect free-time for me to enjoy some RPG, I just want to play so bad.

Personally I am quite disappointed by Larian's take on these issues though. The game has been on early access for more than a year, and the last patch fixes some stuff (probably?), does not fix many things it claims to fix and even breaks certain things. I did not kickstart the game, but this is especially bad service to people who kickstarted the game.

Yeah, the game if far from 'very polished' as Swen believed itseems.

Most sad that there is no reaction from devs. If they just say that is not an occasional bug, i would still play regardless of how sad it is. But they just not react. Looks like it's very difficult to post a single post with confirmation or rebuttal...
Now i'm just going to abandon divinity and play shadow of war until things become clear.

I hope they will refund exp for all people who lost exp while progressing in game with this bug. Just a simple script that triggers on load and calculates how much enemies you killed and how much exp you should have...

Yup, any kind of comment from developers would be great. For now, I stopped my 2nd playthrough until I'm sure if it's a bug or not. And with time, between quest log being complete mess, missing NPCs, not working achievements, achievements unlocked without any reason, and probably other stuff - most probably I'll give Larian Studios more time, to release another 2 or 3 patches...

Was it really me?
