I finally got my Kickstarter Collector's Edition today (a month after release, and after having to go to the PO because they wouldn't deliver it to my house when no one was there to sign but the mail comes in the middle of the day when I'm at work; but I digress ...). I wasn't terribly excited about the CE -- I had really just wanted the mug, and with that swapped out, nothing in there really did anything for me -- but I was still happy to finally have it, and I was really looking forward to the hoodie. And it was great! It looks cool, it was thicker than it looked in the video with Swen wearing it, it felt really comfy ... but then I looked closely.

It says "DIVINITY: ONIGINAL SIN II" on the arm. Oniginal. With an N. And even though the stitching for the "Original Sin II" part is much lower quality and harder to read than the rest of the stitching, it's still very obvious that it's definitely, 100% an N, not just a weird looking R or something. It looks exactly like the other two N's, the ones supposed to be there, as you can see in my photo (the little bit that makes the O look like a Q is just a loose thread hanging off). Two vertical lines, one slanted in between. An N.

Thankfully the text is so small it's not going to be noticeable when wearing it, but are you serious? There was that little quality control that something like that happened on a $75 hoodie?! This just blew my mind. It's been one thing after another with the CE, both with items getting swapped with no notice until right before it shipped to the shipping being a mess and taking more than a month to get here to the tracking emails being in German and ending up in my spam before I thankfully saw them. But I expected all the products to have the usual Larian quality we're all used to. This is ridiculous.

So this is me venting. This is my first post here, and probably only, so if I'm posting it in the wrong spot, feel free to move it, or, hell, delete it, but I wanted to express my frustration with this entire process, since apparently as soon as the KS ended they disappeared from that site. I'm still going to buy and play Larian's amazing games, and I'll watch the awesome KS updates on Youtube the next time they do one, but I'm done backing them on anything. This experience has sapped all the large amount of goodwill I had toward them, and I really don't want to deal with something like this again next time around. I don't know if the first D:OS campaign had these sort of issues, but it makes me glad I missed it by like two days, as frustrating as that was at the time.

EDIT: I don't know why my photo isn't showing up when it does in the preview, but here's the link, if that's allowed:

It's a restriction on "new" accounts, or those with no posts in your case; I've removed it now and added the image while I was at it.

You're more observant than I am, but I just checked, and sure enough, mine says "oniginal" too. Awesome. frown Not sure anybody else has noticed yet, either; might be worth emailing support@larian.com to make sure they know about it, since "we're reading it all" applied when the forums had a tenth of their current traffic...

In a way, that makes it almost even cooler! Surely future hoodies (If any) would be fixed, making it even more unique! Haha.

Artistic liberty, it's a cursive lower case 'r' flowing into the 'i'.

That's how I tried to see it, but it's definitely an "n". frown

Oniginal Gin should definitely be a thing. A triple distillation of the finest artisan mushrooms, lovingly hand-reared on indescribable things, infused with an expert blend of juniper, coriander, nightshade, bergamot, grapefruit, mackerel, wormwood and stilton. It'll be awesome.
