When I first picked up the game I disliked that I had to micro-manage each of the 4 characters. I actually tried to get a refund but Steam told me that I had played the game for 5 hours and was not able to get a refund. I am SO glad that they didn't refund my money.

I went back and started researching if I could just play as one char, or maybe two at max. My favorite top-down RPG of all time was Neverwinter Nights, and there I played a Paladin main and a Rogue sidekick. I found out you could Lone Wolf it, so I continued with my Elven Ranger and the Undead Rogue. But even then I did not like managing the 2nd character, so I went totally solo and absolutely fell in love. This is the single-player RPG experience I have been waiting for for a long time.

I just hit Act II, what an incredibly rich, satisfying and deep RPG. I scoured every single inch and corner of Act I before I moved on. I'm loving my character, every battle is a thought-provoking game of positioning, end turns at the right or wrong time and paying the price. I could go on and on, but I have a game to play.

Thank you Larian Studios for this masterpiece of a game. My biggest issue right now is; I pre-paid and bought Destiny 2 for the PC, it comes out 10/24, my friends and I planned on playing it together. I'm afraid that I will not be able to pull myself away from this game, lol. I may need to lie and tell them my PC imploded and continue playing DOS2 steathily on Steam.

I like Lone Wolf too, but a lot of people want to see it nerfed so that it is worse than 4 chars. Even if it is a little bit worse than 4 chars it won't be worth the talent slot. It only takes one guy to get stunlocked before 50% of your party is worthless.

It is an awesome feature. Just shows us how we are different once again. There are people that play this game with double monsters and 6 players mods. I can see both lone wolf and 6 man in my future, can only imagine Lone Wolfing being a streamlined run through. Oh and we have 6 unique character stories.

Well, if it gets nerfed I won't play it then. Why nerf it? Its not like its an MMO where there needs to be balance? That's silly.

I have been looking for a single-player RPG for a looooooooooong time, I almost bought a Swtich to play the new Zelda game, I'm that desperate. I'm a 52 year old pc gamer, so I have been playing games since DOOM via DOS input, pre-Windows 95 stuff here.

I loved Dragon Age Origins, and NWN like I said. I just don't like having to gear up and micro manage a healer, I don't want to play a healer. When I had a 4-person party I would lose one of two of them, it was just a pita. Lone Wolf is a much better experience for "me".

Newbie. biggrin Anyway, yeah, I agree with those points: too much nerfing going on for a SP/small co-op game; and though I wouldn't go quite as far as saying it requires micro-management it'd be nice to play it according to your preferences. One thing I liked about Oranges is that once you'd set up some rules for your party members they could pretty much be left to just get on with doing their thing.

There are lone wolf boost mods already. Worst case use them. It is so simple to do.

You don't need a cleric in this game potions and food can do it. I have one guy with Restoration, he uses it as a Piercing attack after setting Decay on a baddie. That said, still go for the Lone Wolf it that is what fits you. You can go one man army or tea for two in that setup. Less or lesser micro'ing.
