I tried adding the Tooltip type field to Character root templates via an lsx converted to lsf, but the engine doesn't recognize the property. Can the Tooltip type field be added to Character root templates?

I get a lot of requests to enable WorldAndHover tooltips on NPCs and their corpses, but this isn't technically possible from my end.

The object fields supported by the game engine are the ones you see in the editor. Adding extra ones indeed generally won't change anything, even if they exist for other object types.

My experiment was a Hail Mary. The editor and game are separate applications.

The field could have been supported by the game engine while the editor could have just not exposed it.
