Numerous players have reported being extremely frustrated over inability to obtain materials needed to repeat the Ritual step of the main quest (obsidian lancet and ritual bowl). Admittedly, selling these was not, in retrospect, a very smart move. Considering the time a player invests in this game before discovering the mistake, a more user-friendly game design would allow the player to obtain additional copies or to use commonly-available materials instead. Please reconsider!

Some things probably should be unsellable, but ...

Why would you sell them? They literally have a value of 0 gold. It takes 600 gold at least to earn the favour of a merchant.

You said "numerous players" have had this issue? You're kidding right? Seriously... why would you sell those things when they're NEEDED for such an important task? I mean, you could tell instantly it was important, and after the conversation with Siva, you'd know that you'd need those things again... And after performing all the ritual steps, the bowl would be on the ground. You really picked it up just to sell it when you saw that it's worth nothing?

If I'm being blunt, if by "more user-friendly game design" you meant you need the tooltips of the items to specifically tell you that, "DON"T SELL THESE CAUSE YOU'LL NEED THEM LATER"... I'm just gonna tell you that, this game is really, really not that kind of game. In fact, this game is not *user-friendly* at all, in that sense.

I'm just baffled, not trying to be a dick here. You can buy back anything you've sold, so just check at the vendors you frequently visit.

Well.. stopped playing he game after that one. Why on God's green earth would you force your player to keep all the junk they collect without making SOME indication the item is quest-breaking if lost... OR not provide an alternative (perhaps more difficult) way... OR you could just label it a "quest item".

Keeping items that have a value of 0 is not how most people play games that allow you to collect seemingly endless amounts junk items along the way. The expectation is there's a hint to it's importance or you can retrieve the item later.

Bad choice.

Some players like it that way because it harks back to a "golden age" that never was. Apologies for the snark, I also hate the removal of QoL stuff like that.
