Hello!

Before the last upgrade, I and a friend were playing perfectly, however with the new update, the multiplayer game simply does not load, it does not even enter the lobby before creating the character, when he enters the room the icon appears but he or other friends get the loading stuck at 80%, the same occurs when another friend tries to host.

What should we do?

Hello, I am one of a group of a 3 friends. We are also experiencing this issue with one among our group. He was able to play perfectly fine before the update, now, afterwards...

If he hosts a game we attempt to connect to him go through the usual loading process and then I find myself on a screen that says 'installing' the progress bar is frozen at 0 and it never moves no matter how long I give it time.

If we host and he connects... on his end, he gets stuck at 80 percent just as the above fellow mentioned. We have made accounts on the forum to upvote this post for visibility please respond we need your help oh great Larian overlords so that we may once again embark on our journey...

Same problem here. We are a group of four and have had problems since Monday. Only the player who is on the same local network can join the host. The other two who connect via Direct Connection are stuck at the loading screen.
Please help us, Larian!

I understand it might be very difficult to find and solve this issue, especially considering it just popped up since the patch.. but I would very much appreciate a reply from somebody working at Larian just so we know that you are aware of the problem, and are searching for a solution.

At this point, since the update, the game is actually unplayable for some people. This thread is proof of that.

We have tried uninstalling the game, reinstalling, everything.. nothing works. Literally can't even load into the game at all, so, I'm not sure what this friend of mine paid good money for... at this point if it never gets fixed I believe a refund should be in order for anyone affected that can't play..

I found a possible solution for the problem:

Enter the command "netsh winsock reset" into the command line (or Powershell) as Administrator and reboot the PC afterwards.

After my friend (the host) ran this on his PC, I was able to join his game again.
