Hey there!

Perhaps this has already been suggested and I missed it, but i was daydreaming earlier and i stumbled upon some ideas about Armor in this game. Mind you, I havent thought this all out or claim to be "right". Just some thoughts I'd share. My proposed Armor rework:

What if instead of physical and magic armor, gear gave a flat armor amount, with baked in Physical and Magic resistance? Physical would of course block mundane damage, and Magic Resistances could either have a flat magic resist orbe tailored to resist elemental types, or even a hybrid of both?

I'm no wiz with numbers but its seems that would make a hyrbid party not only viable, but more valuable in my opinion?

Physical and magic armor gains and restoration could be reworked into resistance gains and possibly universal armor restoration (values would probably have to be nerfed due to geomancy/hydrosophist combinations.).

Perhaps all armor restored by geomancy skills give a physical resistance buff for X turns? Same with Hyrdo.

Soothing Cold, Mend Metal, and Heart of Steel come to mind for being screwed up by this proposal. Perhaps they all still restore armor (again most likely at a nerfed value) but with a physical/magical resist part in them or something?

Piercing damage could instead negate armor resistances.

Maybe I'm dumb and this doesnt work, but I thought I'd share! Thank you for taking the time to read this and let me know what you think?

The game has been released, even disregarding the merits of the idea, I don't think we can expect to see major revamps of huge systems affecting the entire game, which this would be.

It'd be hard to mod too, as changing UI elements is impossible at the moment.
