I'm about to put in a preorder for this game, but as I recently got ripped off when buying the poor quality U.S. version of Sacred, I want to make sure the same thing doesn't happen with any other games I buy. So with BD, is the language the only difference between versions or are any of the versions edited in any way for the rating as with Sacred?

I really enjoyed Divine Divinity and so am really looking forward to this game. Thanks for any help!

For the US-Version of Sacred initially all gore was censored, as far as I know, instead of the original, the German version.
Normally it is vice versa.

The English Version of should contain several bugs fixed which are currently haunted and patched in / for the German Version.

Also, the English Special Edition should contain the Story by Rhianna Pratchett (another thing the Germans don't have. *sigh*

A little off topic, but...

is Rhianna Pratchett in some way related to Terry Pratchett?

She is the daughter of Terry Pratchett... No, I'm not kidding. Apparently, she's a real gamer, and really liked Divine Divinity. She visits the message boards, but I forgot her nickname

Wow... The daughter of one of my favorite authors writes a story to one of my favorite games. Now I *must* read this story!
