I just thought about buying the English-language version there.

I would have posted more only the forum is very weird for me and I can only log in properly through the larian url...rather than the beyond-divinity one...and then not all the time!
I just set my Homepage to this forum. Works every time! Welcome back Rhi! I am so looking forward to reading the novella. I went to BestBuy and they would not let me Pre-order because the release date is at the end of the month. I could'nt hardly belive that! I hope BestBuy doesn't crap out on me...No worries though, if I can't get the bundle there, I will order directly from our Larians. Rhi, are you concidering making full size novels set in The Universe? A six to eight hundred pager aught to do for a starter. If you have time of course. (notice there is no pressure, hehe ) Sound like a PIF question to you?

Well I went ahead and preordered BD from gamestop.com as it doesn't sound as if the version will be a problem this time like with Sacred.
Also, I wanted to get my own copy of DD too (as a friend lent me the game when I played it before) so that was added benefit. Hopefully, there will be some other way of getting/reading the novella other than getting it at Best Buy, but I'll worry about that when the time comes!
Thanks for the help!

I'm sure that after a while, the novella will be downloadable for everyone. It simply wouldn't be fair that some people can get it, and others can't. Everyone who wants to read it, should be able to.

Personally, I wouldn't mind giving a few bucks ( I mean Euros ) to Leather Raven or to Larian or to both. The only thing that would heavily concern me is the payment method, because I'm very suspicious towards online payment. I wouldn't want that (and I don't use credit cards either). That's why I find it so sad that for example Mike Oldfield's "games" are sold only via credit card, which I don't like at all.

Yeah I've had trouble as well coming to these forums through the Beyond Divinity website. I have this link bookmarked: http://www.larian.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat= which works fine for me. It also works for me when I use the Forum button at www.larian.com to get here.

I used to have the same problems. All you have to do is go change the settings of your cookies for your browser. Just set it to where you can recieve a wee bit more cookies and you shouldn't have the problem anymore. If you have various firewalls that could be the problem but im not sure.

Yes, going through Larian.com seems to help, thanks for your advice. Even I'm not sure exactly where the novella is going and where it isn't, every now and then Lar tells me something like 'It's being translated into Polish!' and I go 'Gosh' and that's about it. But I hope it will eventually be available in some form for anyone that wants to read it.

I believe it has been translated into German, but I'm not sure how it will be available (sorry to be useless)...Lynn can you shed any light on this?

Barta, I didn't laugh. Honestly. I just wanted to support you, but the signs that you would like to translate it are so obvious.

Yes I'd leave it in english. I even think that my english is better (talking not spelling) is better then my dutch.
I even have trouble watching a dubbed movie.
Theire was this one movie that I checked on a french channel (france 1 I think). 2 cowboys on highnoon.
english version: cowboy 1: Do you want to back down cowboy 2: No (very fast said and sends a chill down your spine)
french dubbed version: cowboy 1: (can't remember the line) cowboy 2: Non pas absulement Je...
The problem was that the "no" in english was so short it was scarry. But that whole sentence they pasted in the dubbed version is just plain wrong.
