Hey all.

I've run into two pretty major issues with the divinity engine that are preventing me from making any sort of co

The first issue is that rotating the camera with middle mouse causes the camera to spasm. Every other camera function works fine - and I can rotate the camera in-game just fine as well, this problem only applies to the editor. Originally this wasn't a problem when I started using the editor, but the camera broke just a few days ago.

The second issue is that the game is not seeing the backup i made for one of my projects. In an attempt to fix the camera issue, I backed up all the project saves I had an just obliterated any trace of the editor files before uninstalling it from steam. After placing my backups back into the editor files after reinstalling, the editor does not see them.

Any help would be appreciated, many thanks!

I'm not having this issue.

Not saying it's not a bug nor that it's affecting you just that it's not effecting *everyone* (or at least not my cheapo Perixx gaming mouse).

You should probably add your mouse make and model in case that's relevant to the driver being an issue, etc.

I'm not sure about your other issue. I've backed files up and restored them without issue although you do need to copy 4 different directories so hoping you did backup everything you needed.

The engine does not use the cloud storage feature for your projects.

Instead, you can host the following folders somewhere if you want to edit them on another PC:
- Data/Mods/YourMod
- Data/Editor/Mods/YourMod
- Data/Projects/YourMod
- Data/Public/YourMod

I have a different problem with the camera in the editor. Every now and then it happens that the camera is permenantly moving in one direction even though no buttons are pressed. I am not entirely sure why but I thing every time I right clicked with my mouse on something before it happened. The only solution is to close the editor.

Yeah, that's been a simultaneously humorous and frustrating bug forever.

This is probably due to the editor window losing focus, causing the camera to not receive the input event to stop moving. To fix this problem you just re-focus the game window and press&release the wasd (and shift/ctrl) keys.

For me this usually happens if I hold down ALT while pressing wasd buttons to move the camera around. Pressing ALT+ the direction the camera is moving with wasd usually resets it.

I got the project issue resolved, so no more need to worry about that :Xmas: - I use a James Donkey 007 Gaming mouse, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I'm having the exact same issue and I'm pretty sure it's not exclusive to your James Donkey 007 mouse - I'm using a Corsair Scimitar. I tinkered with the preferences to no avail, although mouse sensitivity does seem to affect it, it didn't change the fact that it jitters intensely. I can't get anything done like this. ):

I plugged in a crummy HP mouse to see if my mouse was the issue, but the camera had the same problem. I did some more poking around and found a Reddit thread where somebody had the issue as well, though nobody had a solution.

Seems to be a rare bug that's only affecting a small handful of people.

Found the relevant reddit post:

Holding RMB at the same time as the MMB does let me look around at least, even if it's still not optimal.
