Hiya guys
So I'm playing on tactician with a full physical team and I just escaped fort joy, and then started my swamp trek. I slowly made my way south-east cause I found some letter that said that's where the seekers are.
Anyway, I kept taking detours cause there was so much interesting stuff around. I did the severed heads thing and then stumbled upon the flaming pig town. I started exploring and was attacked by the voidwoken deepdweller and his undead crew.
And let me just say here that I was level 6 and - together with Orivand - it was the best, most rewarding battle yet. I ended up losing the first time, but after changing up my tactics, I managed to win. And it was AWESOME - I teleported the deepdweller away only to learn that he can teleport himself right back. Then he made the crucial mistake that was rushing my summoner Fane and leaving him with like 20hp, which was just the right amount to turn the voidwoken into a chicken. Then it all went downhill for the dragon. I absolutely loved it. And it was great how it turned from desperation in the middle of it, when for five rounds straight I used half my APs for healing, just to keep myself alive, to comedy, when the last three undead remained with all their armor stripped and I tried to humiliate them as much as possible without killing them. Just classic.
BUT - the deepdweller kept saying stuff like 'Lohse, you dick' and 'Fane, you buffoon' and I kept hearing voices and after the fight I activated some shrine, got transported to Mount Olympus or whatever and a god told me 'hey, you're godwoken. That's why you heard my voice.' And I was like 'cool, that came out of nowhere. And you only spoke like once or twice, during a horibly difficult fight so no, I didn't have the time to give it any thought.'
So my question is - have I ruined some great plotline by just stumbling upon this fight in the middle of a swamp without any previous exposition? Have I missed the entire build up to this fight?
