Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Bugs & Technical Problems Gold in Dialogue wrong numbers. Possible Bug?

I'm not sure if this is a common bug or if I messed up my game somehow but a lot of times in dialogue when gold is involved the numbers in parenthesis are strange such as an extremely high number (8+ digits) or 0 or -1.

A few hours back, Marg the troll requires (-1) gold as payment and when I try to pay it it says I don't have enough gold.

My most recent encounter with this is this persuasion attempt.

I did the quest shown on your image yesterday and the numbers showed correctly. Do you have any mods installed ? Just wondering, because you asked if you messed up your game in any way.

I have the base game installed on steam, no mods no addons. This is not the only quest that shows incorrect numbers for me, just the most recent. There have been several instances of this happening but I mostly ignored them since it was mostly dialogue options I had no intention of choosing. This issue goes away for some dialogue options but remain for other ones when I reload for whatever reason.
