Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Bugs & Technical Problems Help! - Skill Book Not Displaying Correctly!

Something is wrong with my skill book. My character Fane is specialized Summoning - 2, and Hydrosophist -1. I have verified this multiple times by checking the Combat Abilities tab. However, when I open Fane's skill book (by pressing K), it shows in the top under "Schools of Magic": Summoning (3). Because of this, I can learn new hydrosophist skills, but they do not appear in the skillbook. Even clicking "all" only brings up summoning skills.

Does anyone know how to fix this bug? Fane was supposed to be my summoner / support char.

Maybe I didn´t understand you correctly, but to my knowledge the number displayed in your skillbook ins´t your skilllevel, but the amount of spells/abilities you have allready learned.

With Hydrosophist 1, you are able to learn Armor of Frost, Hail Strike, Rain and Restoration. Have you learned those spells and don´t those spells show up ?

Is there a number displayed under the hydro-tab in your spellbook ?

Oh okay - well that makes sense about the number displayed. That said, there is no hydro tab in my spellbook, despite my hydrosophist skill being at 1. I came to notice this all because I got the restoration skill book and learned the skill, yet it didn't appear in my memorizable skills when I hit K (no hydrosophist tab and it does not appear when I select "all" either).

Any ideas on why this might be?

Okay I figured out the bug! The problem was because I was wearing a ring that granted the restoration skill. For one reason or another, learning restoration from the skillbook while wearing the ring did not grant the skill. I simply reloaded the game and learned without the ring on and everything is peachy. Thanks for your help!

Ah, I see. Glad you solved it. The same happened to me once. Totally forgot about that.
