Since this patch in my game charm effects from NPC's to players do not seem to work. Had 3 dominate minds and 6 love grenades fail on me and my friend even with no armour at all.

Hi all,

can it be right that a one handed axe is now two handed?
My red prince had a unique one handed axe 'Hanal Lechet' after patch it is two handed. Im sure it was one handed cause I skilled him to use weapon and shield.

If it is true that it was changed how can I revert this?

Editor I can use so I want to know how I can change it back.

Sorry Im very pissed about this cause it hard enough to get right weapons with the prefered atributes. Mostly I get only things that will not fit as metal armor with ranger atributes or such a shit.

In the consulate with the cursed reverends. Perhaps there is a better way but I had to keep fleeing battle to top up source from the bodies by the waypoint shrine to bless all the bits of necrofire to stop them spawning. Challenge accepted. I completed that area without using Bless once. Out of combat, I used Vaporize + Pressure Spike to change the permanent Necrofire ground surfaces into 2-turn Necrofire ground surfaces.

In combat there wasn't time to wait around for that, but I had Tornado on two people (although one could only cast it with +1 Aero amulet on), plus my Knight temporarily switched to a Unique Staff which came with Tornado, so with three of those, I was able to clear out surfaces that way as well.

So the surfaces were not a problem, and I cleared them out nicely. That fight was a piece of cake.

I'm going to disagree, the source point cost is the whole problem, because enemies get so many free ways to curse things that trying to use Bless for counterplay with Curse is just futile.

Fired up the game to see if Tarquin was, in fact, at the Graveyard to give me his quest. He is not. :(

Two issues:

1. Have the tooltips become really obtrusive during pickpocketing, or is it just that I'm misremembering? I admit I hadn't tried it often until last night, so I don't remember if it was always this way, or whether yesterday's patch changed it. When I try to pickpocket, the tooltip of whatever I'm trying to steal pops up and covers the weight/value scales at the bottom of the pickpocketing window. It's really annoying.

2. What's up with today's hotfix?! Now the sound drops out frequently when I reload, or randomly during dialogue.

Huh, now that you mention that, same thing happened to me. I didn't notice it much because I spent most of the time in combat in today's session.

I think I made a bit of a meal of that fight - it went on for hours. Your way sounds better.

I did notice I had picked up balloons of blessed water somewhere although I've no idea where. Apparently you can craft them from water balloon and source orb but that would be a rather expensive alternative.

Improved AI behavior that was leading to skipped turns incorrectly

Skipping turns does still happen. For instance, if you free Karon from his prison, the turn of your first character will be skipped.

I can provide a save if necessary.

Which is still ridiculous. There is literally only one or two of those things in the entire game, and all it does is give +1 to all stats. OMG SO OP PLZ NERF.

Really, it should give a permanent +1 to all stats which lasts forever and ever and ever no matter how many times you die. It is really not such a game-breakingly powerful thing that it has to be balanced around "you die and it is gone forever".

My Tarquin's bug is now fixe
You just need a save before you talke to malady about your divin formation.
Before talke to her finish the quest about family wait Tarquin return to the boat and now you can talke to malady.

there's also a thread indicating that other people are having the summoning problem. i tried verifying cache files and any other problems but the problem is clearly with the game since everything came up normal

This patch hasn't fixed anything for me. If anything, can we please have an option to roll back to the previous patch? This has broken so many things without an explanation for any of it.

My partner and I have a 55 hour save that we can't load now as a result of this patch. Upon loading the save, both of our characters are just completely gone, leaving Lohse and the hired mercenary Lizard companions we had as functional/controllable characters.

On top of that, all visual/asset replacement mods (Character Creation Plus excluded as of this morning) no longer work. I've attempted to mimic CCP's file structure in attempt to get my own armor/CC replacements to work again; to no avail. No explanation for this or how to "correctly" remake these mods to function successfully. The patch notes mention that the game reads mods "differently" now and seemed to imply efficiency. I'm not seeing it.

I've spent all of my leisure time troubleshooting since the patch dropped. What is going on?

i understand they're almost certainly working very hard to fix all bugs and improve the game, but it'd be really nice if someone could come and at least acknowledge that these things are being looked at

i know that the "we're reading it all!" thread is meant to imply that everything is being noticed, but sometimes it helps to have an actual person make a brief appearance to let us know what's going on when so many prevalent bugs are negatively impacting people's experiences with the game

the last patch feels like it was pushed through without adequate testing as many things seem to have broken, at least partially, and many people are reporting problems with things that were supposedly fixed (tarquin for example, even though i've personally never experienced it)

this is not a shot at larian but merely an observation that a lot of people would probably appreciate it if someone dropped in before the next patch to acknowledge the problems people are having or communicate what's being worked on

thanks for all the work on the game, either way

It is actually really bad for their reputation. They might and I hope they notice it in sales, when they release another entry in divinity original sin series. No company should handle it the way Larian is doing it at the moment. They've had time to respond for weeks now, but still no official stament has been made. There is no excuse in my opinion.

What you do see on twitter for example: Great reviews, fan art, retweets for twitch streamers etcetera. Not a single tweet about the state of the game, i've seen other companies do this so much better. The technical problems forum is useless too, they are currently only using it as bug dump list. Not to directly help people. They point out you should get help via e-mail support, who were in my case not able to help, condesending and unresponsive. Also they refuse to awnser simple questions.

It should be a shot at Larian, they are failing to deliver. In the end we are paying customers. It's not some small free project game, they have sold more then a million copies.

For extra info why I am upset. I haven't been able to play from two weeks after the release, e-mail support or forum support has not been able to help me. Also I can't get a refund anymore, because I bought the early acces version of the game to support Larian.

i empathize if you can't play the game right now. my experience doesn't match yours which is why my attitude is different

i appreciate the game they churned out, i just wish they were a little more communicative with the patching of bugs
