At about x=613, Y=296 in Paradise Downs, my map shows an Elven Chest plain as day. I maliciously slaughtered three unassuming Elven mages to get access. But I've been all over that area and no sign of a chest nor any place to dig have I found. Is there a Larian equivalent of a metal detector I'm missing?
Ah! I had recently respecced my group and now nobody has the requisite wits. This I fixed by casting "Peace of Mind" and promptly found the chest and "Rainwater Amulet" inside.
