Hi, I am 99% sure this is a bug. Also, spoilers.

In Arx Sewers, when I enter the room with the Children, I am stopped by big Tomorrah. I successfully pass the skill check, talk to her a bit (no option to mention the painting for some reason, but that's besides the point), and she tells me not to touch any of their stuff (Implying I am free to roam their hidout).

Now, As soon as I make another two steps, I immediately get a -5 Rep with her, and she calls in her trolls to attack...

I tried it a few times. I am sure I don't touch anything. I am sure that my weapons are sheathed. No summons or anything strange with me. Just two steps toward her AFTER passing the check and she goes hostile (or rather, the trolls do, she runs away).

Some more info:

- Maxing her reputation (with gifts during first conversation) doesn't help.
- I emptied all of my inventory thinking it might be an item I carry. doesn't help.

Her line is "Stop that! Hey! Everyone out! Troll-time! TROLLS! TROLLS!" which I assume is a line that has to do with stealing or vandalism.

Some more info:

In my playtrough I got to her AFTER dealing with Queen Justinia. If I load and get to her before, then she is fine. Maybe something in justinia's place is flagged as her's and trigger? This can actually make sense, since I killed Justinia, but all the stuff in her room did not turn white so they are still flagged as beloning to someone.

I solved this issue by only having the person who passed the skill check with her go into the hideout. For me, this was Lohse, so I had her go in alone, and everyone else waited outside. No issues.

Now there is a bug where, after you've picked up something illegally, the next NPC you see will automatically trigger the "caught stealing" conversation, saying stuff like stop that that's not yours blah blah blah and losing Attitude at the same time. This NPC can be pretty much anyone and doesn't even have to be anywhere close to where you picked up the object.

So, getting back to the issue at hand, chances are you picked up something in Justinia's hideout, and this caused the kid to start that awkward conversation when you saw her.

Same issue here, i solved it by porting to hall of echoes and going downstairs. I then got the notification from the fletcher dude inside the ship, which cleared the stealing trigger and now i can walk freely amongst the sewer children.
