I posted this yesterday but I just realized I posted in the DOS1 forums. /facepalm
I've been hosting a multiplayer session with 3 friends since the game was released, every few days. The last time we played was last Monday (10/23).
I tried hosting today and whenever anyone would join me (through Steam or the DOS server browser), they would crash after loading (I would see "Player Joined" on my end then "Player Left"). I tried loading from a previous save, same issue. I sent my save file to another friend to try hosting it. He was able to host fine and everyone
else was able to connect, but now I crash when joining, right before the load bar completes.
My game loads fine when I host (but no one can join me) and I can load and play single player just fine.
As another test, I tried connecting to other random online servers and it crashed to the desktop right before it finished loading for all of them.
I have verified the file integrity though Steam.
I have renamed the folder at documents\Larian Studios\ to allow it to re-build.
I have uninstalled the game from steam and deleted the entire steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\ folder then re-downloaded.
I do have a message that comes up whenever I start the game that says: "Warning - The files of mod 'Divinity: Original Sin 2' and/or its dependencies are invalid. This can be caused by corrupt files or some files have been changed. You won't be able to play this mod in multiplayer". This appears even after doing a full uninstall / reinstall. However, this has been showing up since day 2 when I started playing with the Divinity Engine 2 and I have been hosting for many weeks while ignoring this error.
I did notice that in a recent patch (last 7 days or so), a glitch was occurring. Specifically, the textures that are drawn on the ground while you are casting an area spell showing you where the affected area will be. Mine were showing up as large grey boxes indicating a missing texture rather than the actual effect. This still happens even after a complete uninstall/reinstall.

I don't know if this is part of the problem but I want to point out that
since this started happening, I have not been able to host a game. Also, since I have last hosted a game, I started a singleplayer campaign and have been playing through. I don't think this is part of the problem but it might be worth pointing out.
I do play with the Divinity Engine 2 quite a bit, but only with a custom campaign.
Please help.. I'd really like to be able to play with my friends again. I feel like there has to be another location where Divinity stores files locally since that error persisted even after deleting everything in documents and steamapps/common.
Thanks
