Computer closes program everytime try to use the scryer to locate Goemoe who has left the Blue Boar Inn. Any idea what's wrong? Any help appreciated.

Try running the configuration program and switching to software more, and perhaps lower the screen resolution, until you get past the scrying scene. A couple people found that the problem was random, and if they did something else in the game for a bit and then went back and scried, it would work. Others found that background programs could cause problems, particularly during the scrying scenes, and that shutting down all non-essential programs before starting the game would help.

Ran Configuration, idled a day away and tried again. Worked like a charm. Goemoe has joined the council of seven. Thank you.

I ran into this problem, solved it by turning off Norton Antivirus. Generally, at the Co7, turn off any background programs you don't need.

i had this problem once too. but i just reloaded and then scryered for someone else. when i can back to the one that made my game freeze, it worked just fine. this was before i got the patch. once i got the patch the scryer thing worked just fine.
