Clarification: This is not a blue screen of death or screen hang issue but rather a mechanic abuse in-game that can trivialize any combat.

Divinity 2 v3.0.151.229
Tested with 1, 2 and 4 players
Easy to replicate

Other Details:
It can be replicated in single player or in multiplayer as long as there are more than 1 character/s.
It can be done anywhere, made way simpler with any disengagement trait or teleport pyramid.

Steps on recreating this exploit:
With 2 characters(Lone wolf)(simplest).
1. Have 2 or more characters enter combat
2. Character one takes x amount of AP to attack with, then disengages(flee's). This lets character one restore hp, cooldowns, source points, etc. During this time an AI will take it's turn now leaving character two waiting.
3. Have character one re-engage, they now get moved to the end of the current turn.
4. Have character two repeat the same steps.

You end up with an infinite loop of only player characters taking turns. As long as neither of the characters die right of the bat this can be endlessly replaced to kill any NPC in a single turn and use an infinite amount of AP or any other recourse.

Yea, this is nothing new. If it would skip your first turn, then it would punish casual players who join later (rogue joining from stealth for example). I guess they could have made it so it skips your turn if you are joining the same fight more than once. On the other hand, that's more code for the combat system which really don't improve anything relevant (for 99% of the player who don't bother with this technique).

I imagine that this kind of strat is rather time consuming.

If you have the patience to break the game this way, you've kind of earned it I guess. I would personally prefer if Larians ressources were spent elsewhere, i.e on itemization, the armor system, the narrative non-secuiturs and the plethora of bugs that break peoples games.

What's the point on purchasing a game and then exploit it so you can finish it. If you want to see the end of it ust watch some youtube videos about it otherwise just set it up in a difficulty that suits you and enjoy the game.

That's the technique often used to kill Dallis Act 1 without specific build and two finesse 10 bows...
