Hi, my name is Giacomo and I have a problem with Divinity Original Sin2,
after 30 minutes or 1 hour of play, the game crashes, blocking.
The game window becomes totally white, but the music and the sounds are still playing, the mouse cursor disappears, and I'm forced to reboot the computer, to avoid the forced reboot problem these days I opened a second desktop, where I launch the game, that when it freezes, I go back to the first desktop and using resource management can force the closure of the game without wasting the pc.
The Larian Tool Support gives me this Ticket Error:
Ticket: 3DED311606D276EF73FAD6F35F631935_S_Dump_j5aoaexw submitted
My configuration is as follows:
Intel (R) Core (TM) I5-6600 CPU @ 3.30 Ghz
MSI NVIDIA GTX 1070 8 GB
16GBRAM
Win10 home x64
I have the 2015 visual c++, the directx 11/12 and i tried to reinstall the game in the different HDD, but the game crash same, i played with my girlfriend with 2 ps4 joystik with the original ps4 cable without any program for compatibility.
I have install now the MSI afterburner for check the temperature of my CPU beacuse when the game crash the my resources management tell me the CPU works at 70%, but the temperature are a bit high but nothing alarmins is in :
CPU: 69 Celsius degree
GPU: 71 Celsius degree
Please help me i don't undestand very well of the fix game problem and this is the only game crash so.
Sorry for my bad english and Thank's in advance for your help.
Waiting for yours
Giacomo

Well, your specs are more than enough to run the game. And if you have already been able to play it, it shouldn't be because of visual C++ or some such.

It's hard to tell. I'm no expert but here are my thoughts:
- How long have you been playing the game? Some people reported that their game crashed after Win 10 update. Or were you never able to play more than 30 min - 1 hr?
- Did you continue from a savegame? Or have you only started from the beginning? When you played the game again, did it crash at the exact same location/spot? If so it might be a corrupted save, I guess? Or did it crash after the same amount of play time (30 min - 1 hr)? If it's a corrupted save you can try restarting from the beginning (or reloading earlier saves).
- What kind of error message did you get, if any?
- Have you tried waiting for the game to respond after it froze? The white screen might mean it just hung up for a little bit.
- Could be a controller-related problem? I have no experience with controllers; I'm just trying to include all possibilities. Have you tried playing the game without controllers?
- Try checking some of the graphics options - Display, Resolution, V-Sync. Make sure they're ok. Your specs are very good, so this might not do anything, but we might as well.

Had same problem ... Just find a way to reduce your GPU clock .. reduce it by 100 mhz or to any optimum freq. It will work you can use msi afterburner or any other tool to do this .
