So I hear everyone talking about how lone wolf is overpowered and makes the game too easy. Has anyone tried a hybrid lonewolf party? One magic one physical? Does it help with the balancing?

Tried it briefly, and yeah, definitely felt weaker than a pure physical damage party.
Perhaps one way to make it work, without making the game too easy, or constantly having to go through two armor types, would be to make your melee use a shield, and your mage use physical damage spells (so mostly necro and geo)...

I might try that myself...

Just finished a dual lonewolf game with a ranger and a wizard, things very midly hard at the beginning, but became easy once we got 3 sources spells. It was fun however, maybe more than 2 physical character, as it needed some strategy (archer targetting mages, wizard going for the warriors for instance), the wizard often used chicken, archer could chloroform or charm/stun/freeze with arrows.

Very feasible, not very difficult because of lonewolf, but quite fun.
