You can kill Alexandar pretty soon after leaving Fort Joy. I did this while exploring - it was tough but I managed in the end. But from then on, everyone acts like he's still alive. Fair enough, to a point, but it's really weird how when you and the Seekers line up outside his fort, you're all acting like he's still alive. You can't tell anyone you killed him, you can't tell Gareth that Malady is already free and waiting for you.
Is this a bug or just a concession to the fact it would take too much work to do a different series of events and dialogues?
