When at a vendor, the amount of gold shown includes gold in locked chests (in build v3.0.158.595 and previous build).

In the screenshot, I approached a vendor and saw that I have 1612 gold. If I pay for something, I can only offer 1417 gold, which is the correct amount of gold that I have access to from all party members. The remaining 195 gold is in locked chests in my inventory. If I drop the locked chests, the total shown with vendors is 1417.

A pretty minor bug, but by showing that I have more gold than I can access, I might think I can afford an item and then be disappointed when I can't.
