Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Help/Tips/Tricks Totems of the Necromancer Questions

I have a pretty good idea what the spell does and if I understand correctly, a Totems of the Necromancer Skillbook can be crafted by combining a Blank Necromancy Skillbook with a Totems of the Necromancer Scroll. That's about all I know, which leaves several questions: Can the Totems of the Necromancer Scroll be crafted? Is it available from vendors and if so, at what level? Is it an event or story reward? Is my black cat familiar supposed to teach it to me? I'm level 15 playing my first run of the game in Classic Mode. Thanks for the help!

Uh. The skill isn't crafted, it's bought at Necromancer merchants at level 16.

Good to know the skillbook is available for sale; I hadn't seen that mentioned anywhere and being level 15, I've not seen it (yet). It can also be crafted though; I've seen that recipe on countless sites - just no mention of where to get the scroll. Apparently level 16 is a benchmark; it's also when the Puppet Bead (used to craft Apotheosis scrolls) is available for sale. Thanks for not making me feel stupid for asking for help. Oops - too late.

I think all skill books are also craftable. Unfortunately there is always at least one component which can only be found after a certain level at which you can also buy the book. Since you also don't save much money (sometimes even losing money) crafting the book, I never brother to look up the recipies.

Tell me if you find a skill book which can be acquired early via crafting. I would love to be wrong about this.
