Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Bugs & Technical Problems Crashing at 90% of loading when trying to connect.

As the title says, I'm trying to connect to a friend's campaign, but my game crashes when the loading bar is at about 90-95%.

Information about the situation:
-We have been playing the campaign without problems until today.
-She can connect to my campaigns normally.
-She is loading her campaign normally, only I crash.
-Tried switching resolutions and windowed mode.
-Checked integrity of files
-Tried different (older) save files.
-We have one mod installed since the beginning (Haelenna's Succubus mode) which gave us a new starting class (succubus). Until today there was no problem.
-We both restarted game, steam and pc.
-I tried to connect to Arena and go back (as some other players with similar issue suggested).

Having the same issue. Crash every time I try to connect to a LAN multiplayer game my SO runs. We have been playing for 100+hrs now and just encountered the problem last night. Few comments and things we have tried.
- I can load and play my own game
- Can't seem to log into other multiplayer games in the lobby (never tried in the past either)
- Reinstalled DOS2
- Tried the Arena trick
- The error message sometimes throws a C++ error message but not consistently
- We tried previous saves and same issue happens

Any help would be great. Love the game and would hate to stop now!

I want to add - when I join the SO game, on her screen it looks like I am connected to her game as the portrait of the character I play is "grayed out", indicating i'm loading in.

I forgot to mention that In contrast with Ranran, I do not get any error message.

p.s. What does SO stands for?

SO = Significant Other (aka my better half, the one that puts up with me, partner in crime etc)

Posting an update here - we fixed our issue! It was a mod issue that took a while to narrow down since we have some loaded. The problem came with the enhanced Crafting Mod you can get from the workshop. We are not exactly sure what issue it had but concluded with
- My mod was outdated and not auto updating via the workshop (corrected it)
- There may have been an instance where the host crafted some unique items from the mod while the partner wasn't online creating a problem with syncing item information between the information my PC knew about the character I use and the information her PC had about that same character

Either way, rule number one in our house now... Don't craft on our game without the other person joined online. And #2, if a crashes happen - check mods first :)
