I know we were never promised that there would be a GNU/Linux port, but I went ahead and backed the game anyway. I'm wondering if there has been some news of a port that I might have missed.


CPU: i7-4930k, Gfx: EVGA 950, RAM: 16GB DDR3-2133 (quad channel), OS: Arch Linux

Just my two cents... Unless DOS:2 supports some multiplatform API (like Vulkan) I would not get my hopes up in getting a Linux or other port. Sadly, I think it's not going to happen (I wish I would be wrong).

IIRC, Larian used the same engine to build D:OS2 that it used for D:OS EE. I believe that they had made a comment that they were focusing on the Windows Version first, but that the Engine already had already been built with Mac, Linux, and Consoles in mind as well if they so choose to go that route.
