First of all, let me say thank you to Larian for this incredible game. It is now in my top 3 with BG2 and Witcher 3.
This post is not to show off or anything like that...it just that it was hard..really hard and I just want to vent :)
(sorry for my english it my third language)
So yah, I finnaly did it. When I saw the quality of the game after 4 hours of play, I decided to do my first ironman ever and god did I scream and yell when I lost and had to restart (4x times) but I did it!
I went in the game knowing nothing at all!
I also did not to any metagaming liek killing everyone for XP and merchants for their stuffe...I went roleplay all along and finished the game level 21.
No save scum, no internet for tricks, no reddit, nothing! And this was the most crazy and intense video game experience ever! I had to learn every single mecanic of the game, respec my characters, plan every battle etc...
So yah I had a blastand thank you again Larian!
Just for fun, here are the 4x places I died and when I almost lost my girlfriend because of the screams at 2h A.M in the morning (joking).
1 - Fort Joy : The fight with the voidwoken near the pigs, I was under one level and the voidwoken was hitting really hard, I also did not have a lot of experience with the game
2 - Fort Joy : The Dragon....yah I had to try...second time I destroyed it
3 - Driftwood : I took the boat... this was the most frustating time ever! Nothing told me it could end like this...no hint at all to seperate 1 character (I did that a lot)
4 - Eternal Aetera : She blasted me to oblivion in 2 turns with the dogs ... I was not prepared ... after this shot I actually stopped playing for 2 weeks
There you have it! Never died once in Act 3 but here were some close calls...
Scarecrows : I was super lucky because I got wiped out but had one character that had the idol to revive and went invisible and revived my other guys
The Doctor : Wtf was that fight anyway ? Good thing I went there last fully geared and prepared, I used all my tea to beat it and had none left for final fight (Tea is seriously OP...good thing because dying there wouldve not been good for my health)
Final Battle : Holy shit! First part was easy and I got SUPER LUCKY because when you focus Dallis (which I did) Braccus reveals himself and then it was just a free for all (took me 1h30 to finish and 3x times my whole party was down except for one guy that I kept invinsible while others were fighting)
There you have, hope you guys all enjoyed the game as much as I did...time to go back to real life!
