I can't open locked doors inside the Dark Cave.Do i have to kill the vampire first?

Use lockpick or telekinesis to unlock the door.[level 2?]Then kill the vampire.He'll attack as soon as you open the coffin.

lockpick the door, and SAVE before you open the coffin, vampire inside, I used meteorstrike on him, worked well.
