The Mysterious Cave entrance to the Dark Cavern, (just past the three void salamanders) as part of the "The Vault of Braccus Rex" quest does not work. It shimmers into view, when clicked it makes a faint whooshing sound, but my party is not transported.

After a little confusion I gave up and looked up a quest guide, but no guide has made any mention of the cave entrance not being a simple door. Yet it still does nothing when used.

I have tried reloading several saves back, I have tried reinstalling, verifying game cache, and using every item I could think of on the cave entrance.

What few other people who have encountered this glitch on the Steam forums seem to suggest restarting the game. However since me and my friend have taken 20 hours to reach this point that is not an option.

Being such a major quest I feel very compelled to complete it before progressing, given how much of the story of the Seekers it seems to effect. I am thoroughly enjoying the sequel and I would love to continue playing this game and seeing everything it has to offer.

This is a bug in the latest update. Please email your latest save (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc) to supportdos2@larian.com.
Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames\Story' folder.
In Windows Explorer you can zip file(s) and folder(s) by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder'.

Thank you so very much for the immediate response! I am completely blown away by the speed and help of the customer service here. I did not think this would be solved so easily, and my opinion of both Larian and customer service in general (which was already quite high) has gone up after this.

Thank you very much. I had lost a lot of interest in continuing the game because of the bug, but now I am more eager to play it than ever.

I'm having the same issue, has totally halted my progress at 20 hours in. Does sending the save to this email actually fix it?

It worked, they sent me a new save file with my characters in the cave.

I have the same issue. Before I send my save file, would like to know about how long it takes to receive patched file back. Are there days/times that are better to submit?

This will be fixed soon with a hotfix.
Response time depends primarily on whether I am awake or not when you email in the save. If you have not already done so, though, you could just wait for the hotfix at this point.
