This is D:OS 2 on PC.

I love this game. I have over 100 hours into it. Ive dealt with the constant crashing, but its gotten more frequent in the past couple days and Im at a breaking point. I either get a BSOD (Ill blame this on my laptop) or the game just crashes to desktop, no send report, nothing. The BSOD is way more rare, like 1 out of 10 crashes. They are also random, it can happen in fights, out of fights, inventory managing, dialogue, etc. Nothing is reproducible intentionally.

The Larian support has never been able to initialize for me when starting the game, and yes I have tried and re-tried all the copy and paste options thats thrown around re: firewalls and such. Nothing matters.

Ive tried lowering settings. The laptop is 100% NOT overheating. Its not even getting that warm. I have a freaking 1070 gpu. This should not be happening.

On roughly half the CTDs, it will create a dump file, but its no help. I am more than willing to upload those if needed.

My specs:

Windows 10 Pro
EVOC P65-67HSHP
Intel i7-7700HQ
16gb RAM
Nvidia Geforce 1070

Help? Ive tried EVERYTHING

A random crash that frequently suggests memory instability. Download Prime95 and do a custom stress test with it using 90% RAM.

Did so, and got some errors. Sending in a support ticket to my laptop retailer. Will update if it solves.

This is just my opinion, but you shouldn't just blame your laptop on BSODs and leave it at that. You could get a blue screen or application crashes at any time with broken memory, and corruption could result with important documents / OS files. No doubt if your laptop vendor replaces / tweaks the BIOS settings of the RAM and successfully fixes the problem, your BSODs will be solved too, but if the BSODs aren't stopped it makes a computer so unreliable it's not worth having IMO. You need a stable base to work with, and yours has a 1070 in it, so it doesn't sound cheap.

'Larian support' never works, I don't know why it is even there. It just delays the start of the game and annoys players, because it takes a while to check that it can't connect.

So havent been able to play much the last week, but finally got around to playing today and testing to see if the BIOS update solved the issues. The BSODs are gone (so far) but Im still crashing to desktop pretty regularly.

Its making me not even want to play the game at this point, if Im being honest.

So your laptop manufacturer just told you to update the BIOS and all your troubles would be over? What about the Prime95 test now? Does that pass several hours?
