Hello everyone! I have been building a large custom level in Divinity Engine 2 for DM mode and have been working on it for quite some time. I am at the phase where I am starting to set up my puzzles and traps and I am having some trouble figuring some things out. Hopefully some of you will be able to help me here.
I am giving my NPCs actual dialogue through the dialogue editor even though this level is for DM mode. I have a puzzle where there is an NPC in a cage and the player needs to find the key to set him free. When the NPC is in the cage I want him to have a certain dialog saying “please set me free” etc. I have this set as the default dialogue currently.
When the player sets the character free I want his dialogue to switch to a different dialogue thanking the player and offering a reward. I am currently unsure how to make this happen. Is something that needs to be done through scripting or the story editor (which I do not have a lot of experience with)? How do I go about doing this?
I have some other questions but let’s just start here for now. This is defiantly causing me a headache and I am having a really hard time finding an answer online. Thanks everyone!
