Latest patch, from steam, no mods at all.

The Explosive Mine skill, if detonated on oil by proximity rather than by something hitting it, will leave a burning field that does absolutely insane amounts of damage compared to the normal effects at that point in the game. For example, where a normal fire terrain at level 6-7 will deal around 8-15 damage/turn, this will deal 150-200 damage. This does not happen if the mine is triggered by being damaged, only if it detonates due to proximity, and there is oil already underneath it.

To reproduce:

Cast Impalement on the ground, creating oil.

Cast Explosive Mine on the oil.

Wait.

Hover over the burning field, and note the damage per turn is now 10-15 times more than it should be, and is in fact more powerful than even the most powerful spells you are capable of casting at that point in the game! At level 7, when a 26-int 4-pyro Fireball is only doing 51 damage with 11 damage/turn burn, an Explosive Mine is dealing 200 damage per turn!

I noticed it during the Voidwoken Deepdweller fight in the Hollow Marsh, when a skeleton that triggered my mine was instantly vaporized from full health.

The trap dealing insane damage when detonates by direct hit after place them, I think Larian wants to make the mine functional after depolyed. However, a direct detonates of undeployed mine by attack deals tremendous damage depend on the trigger(attacker) , at character level 17, lvl 14 summon specialist using fire slug can deal 10000+ fire damage in 3m area by a single hit to detonate 4 mines.
