I just forgot how to associate the objects with the charms. Some objects can be charmed by putting the "orbs" into slots. How to we open the object up again to put the "orbs" into the slot thus charming the object?

I used to be able to do this but I just reinstalled the game and now I can't seem to remember how it's done. The manual doesn't seem to cover it.

Yes, as long as you have the Enchant Weapon skill (warrior path) you can click on an equipped weapon or piece of armour to being up a charm pane. Drag and drop charms into open slots on this pane to permanently add them to the equipment.

If we're talking about Beyond Divinity, you don't need a skill to charm items. Just left-click an readied item that has "charmability" and a new plate will appear. Put charm in plate and Bob's yer uncle.

If you mean Divine Divinity, you first need the skill Barnabus mentioned.

When you do what the prior poster said, for me, the placeholder to insert the charm appears under the Inventory screen, which you have to move to effectuate the transfer. BTW, same goes for the crystals to be inserted into the Crystal Bag when you find it.

Ah! That's what I'm missing then. The charm skill! I didn't think I needed it for the crystals. Dooohh!
