I just finished the Secret of the Dwarves and Missing People quest lines, and after teleporting back to town all paladins have turned hostile. This is quite weird to me, does anyone know if that is supposed to happen or do I have bugged game now?

Is this when any character teleports there, or a specific one? Do other friendly/neutral NPCs turn hostile in other locations?

Someone else reported something similar, and it turned out to be a previous theft attempt being caught, but not triggering a reaction at the time. As a workaround, they could have that character approach some NPCs (preferably an individual or small group who were not traders or quest related) and escape from combat. After that, the next NPC approached would have a 'hands off' or 'that's not yours' dialogue and a reputation drop, but not trigger combat, and if required you could bribe them into speaking with that character (better to do that with NPCs you will not need to interact with again). In that case, after approaching NPCs in the Arx outskirts, escaping and returning, then heading to the city square, the NPCs there reacted normally to the character, and did not have a reputation drop.

The underlying issue for that has been fixed, and will be included in a future update (no ETA).

Well I have as a separate issue often encountered the "hands off" / "leave that alone" issue, but as it is standard citizens, I haven't really seen it as a problem.

My issue is when I finish the quests mentioned, I tried two different things:
- Walking back through the sewers from where you kill Isbeal into the jail. Here all paladins immediately turn hostile
- Using the world teleporter, teleporting directly to Arx City Square, here all paladins immediately turn hostile (no citizen NPC turn hostile at all)

That is a different issue, then. Please email your save before completing those quests, and one after (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc) to supportdos2@larian.com, with a description (or link to this topic).
Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames\Story' folder.
In Windows Explorer you can zip file(s) and folder(s) by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder'.

I have shared the save files with you as requested.

However I have tested a bit more and I actually think it is related to the other issue you mentioned.

If I "steal" from all the boxes in the room with the now dead dwarves (where you activate the Isbael event), but NOT try and lockpick the chest, which can't be lockpicked, all I get is a "hands off" message when teleporting back to the Arx Square.

However if I also make just one attempt at lockpicking the chest, which can't be lockpicked, then all paladins in Arx turn hostile.

Apparantly it is interacting with the items set to stealing in the room of the now dead dwarves, which sets this off, and the chest in particular which turns them hostile.
