So, I was testing a mod, and for whatever reason, the Divinity Engine 2 booted in Honor Mode for reasons completely unknown to me. My character died during the testing, it saved (in GLASSES) and overwrote my save file on the last profile I used ingame - which was the one with my main honor mode save.

I am not very pleased about this at all. I would appreciate if this could be fixed in an update to the engine. Otherwise, do I have a means of recovering my save file?

Details: I was simply testing a mod in Fort Joy. The mod only uses story and behaviour script to react to instances of damage dealt to players. Dallis killed me shortly after I initiated combat with her.

That is indeed incredibly unfortunate. +1 must be fixed. smirk

I was not able to reproduce this, except by specifically starting a new honour mode save from within the editor.

Please email supportdos2@larian.com with your honour mode save, a copy of the mod files and a description of what you did up until the character died. (ie did you add a new level to the mod as a copy of Fort Joy, etc)

Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames\Story' folder.
In Windows Explorer you can zip a file or folder by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipper) Folder'. If the mod is large, 7-Zip's .7z format could help.
