Hullo everyone,
I'm at my first playthrough with DOS II, and I gotta say, I really have mixed feelings about the entire game, even though at first I was like "geez, this is the best tactical rpg ever".

But I'm not here to talk about my personal feelings, or about the qualities/flaws of the game.
One thing I really find irritating is the rather huge amount of bugs, but one in particular is driving me mad.

Last fight, barely managed to pull through to phase two.
Braccus goes...Braccus. Summons Kraken.
Now, in EVERY single playthrough I've checked so far (around 10, more or less) on YouTube, the big sea noodle ALWAYS summons the four adds right where Braccus is. That means, they need to waste one turn chasing my party on the other side of the map. This was EVERY time.

Well, in my playthrough...surprise! The teethy worm just dives TWICE in a row, gets right behind my party, THEN summons the adds right in the middle. Which means, as they're summons, they attack at once, full AP bar, without spending one turn to run around.
Useless to say, I get constantly ANNIHILATED...don't even have the chance to have one single turn to patch the patchable. Nothing. Constant, utter annihilation.

So, as I haven't seen it anywhere else, I was wondering...is it working as intended, after all? Anyone else having to deal with the same crap? Or is it, maybe, really a bug?

Sorry for the rant,
thanks everyone

It's been a while since my last playthrough, so this could have been changed by a patch. In my playthrough, the Kraken would summon the new enemies on the pillars around the battlefield. They had to move a little bit before attacking, but they didn't have to waste one entire turn just to move, either. There was one caster guy (not Isbeil) who didn't need to move at all, IIRC.

If the Kraken places the new enemies at fixed spots, just position your party accordingly before initiating the second phase. Stay at hard to reach spots, something like that. Other than that, once you know what the new enemies are going to do in their first turn, make sure your party are in good condition and prepare them appropriately.

Thx for the reply, eventually I tried something different.
I teleported back to Arx, tried fixing a bit my equipment, potions, runes, skills etc., then went back to fight. Well, this time the Kraken summoned the adds right where they were supposed to be summoned, next to Braccus. Everything went down smoothly, so finally I can say it's over.
Maybe Larian was just trying to test my patience, who knows... :)
