Never managed to find a copy of BD here in sweden, but finally ordered it from UK Amazon, and they shipped it yesterday, hoping to receive it on monday =) =) =)

Anyway, spending the weekend planning my character, tried the demo a little and it seems a lot different with the skill system compared to DD, especially with all the different weapon skills, there seems to be a LOT more of those to train now, so I'm afraid I'll be to scared to make a choice of what to train that I'll just keep saving all my skillpoints until I find the uber-best-weapon of the game and really know what to train...
But then I read that you can unlearn skills and reuse the skillpoints for other skills, but that it will cost a LOT of money... which brings me to one question...
is the amount of enemies/money available limited as in DD, or are the battlefields an unlimited exp/money gaining place? That is, will I always have the possibility to go to the battlefields to gain enough money to relearn skills as much as I want, or is there just a limited amount of enemies there like the rest of the game? Would hate to train the "wrong" skills and then have no way to get more money to relearn.

Oh well, I'm probably worrying too much as usual <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/alien.gif" alt="" />

Or you can do what I do; Role-play a chatacter. What I mean is think up a concept of your character, then develope states/skill accordingly. Now I haven't has the chance to sit down and play BD yet, but I do have a concept of what I want to do with both the "hero" and the Death Knight. I think I'm gonna go with two axe wielding maniacs that have no love for the use for magic.

well, I agree role-playing a char would be fun too, but from what I've heard tactical combat is somewhat hard so not sure how easy it would be to role-play something for fun instead of going for the better weapons/skills.

But, who knows, maybe the game is balanced enough that you can choose whatever skills you want and actually have a chance to survive <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

Yeah I hope so also. I'm getting tired of developers balancing games for the power-gamer in mind. smirk

Gold is frustratingly limited. Sure I can pickpocket loads of valuables, but spending gold on unlearning skills, or being trained in new skillpaths for that matter causes it to vanish from the game. If I pay a merchant 5000 gold to learn the trade skill for example, I expect it to be in his stock so I can sell stuff to him to get it back.

Who am I paying to unlearn skills anyway, fairies?. It all seems a bit dubious to me. You should lose exp when unlearning. That makes much more sense.

BTW My characters are level 12 or so, playing Tactical and I managed all right without specialising in a weapon. I went for general skill like poision which works on all melee weapons and the game usuful skills like repair or Identify.
