I have a suggestion, give the merchants more money. Or give them more money the next day if they run out.

Wouldn't it be better to pay doctors when we are healthy?

at lvl 6 Im at dead end, no more potions but the problem is NO merchants around to sell me any.The death in this game is fast and many, keep reloading half the time.No fun anymore to play this game, tomorrow I get my refund for this game (?)

Good luck to all of you if you can hack it.

Think I had 100 health potions and 30k of gold act II/III
What helped a lot was the "pick pocket" skill, especially the NPC's that run around in Act1 (where the bow contest is) give a lot of gold and expensive arrows you can trade with merchants

Trade with merchants for what?

Their stock is miserable and never changes, so once you've used up their stock of potions, tough luck. They sell only basic early-level weapons (my level 16 characters are still using weapons found in the first two hours of the game... a ranger using a damage 7-31 bow at level 16 is pitiful, just pitiful). My Hero is still using basic 6 leather armor. Not because it suits her svelt form; she has not found anything better. My characters used up every goldpiece available in Act I... and there really weren't that many of them... just trying to open skill trees to have somewhere to plop the skill points that were accumulating.

After exploring the Imp Village and solving several quests there, I'm heading to the Act II Battlefields. If I can't find decent weapons and armor there, I fear BD may end up in the graveyard of unplayed disappointments. Level 20 monsters are laughing at our pitiful level 5-type weapon damage.

And if anyone dares say that a game must make players scratch for decent weapons, spend hours doing quicksave/quickload to discover what herbs, charms and skills actually do, make gold rare as hens' teeth, and make enough insta-death traps to wear the stencil off the quickload key just to present a decent "challenge", may the fleas of a thousand camels infest their armpits.

When you try to leave the village, you will be summoned. Complete that area before entering the battlefields, since if you enter and leave from there, you get returned to the imp village. It is not a game-ender, but you will miss the experience, loot and a teacher.

I found many good swords in act 2, and changed my DK's sword about 5 times. I didn't find a better crossbow than one I got from act 1, though it still does enough damage.

I had invested a lot in luck. And then I just took equipment if it boosted luck. I almost only found magical items, in the end I only bothered by picking up the orange coloured ones to identify since my hero, death knight and summoning dolls had orange items equiped.

This was my weapon for my death knight (found it in BF Act II in one the first dungeons)

And my Hero's crossbow (granted, I found this in Act III, had a similar one since Act II but with less boosts)

My death knights sword is a non magical one, and I'm in act III, its sad lol, but its really the best sword I've found so far even though it has NO +stats.

Altough I just got a +33 luck helmet in the ranaar ruins in Ash Forest, so hopefully I will see more items now.

Hmm, there was a 2-hand magical sword in a Raanaar corpse in Act 2, Citadel Prison island. There were you saw a lot of dead bodies, the NE one. I found it in all my German games so far - so, I don't think it's random. This sword was the one I kept for my DK until the end.

And I found rings and amulets in this act => in tree stumps, spider cocoons - even orange ones (the best).

As I got my English version today (hoorah!) I will try and see if a German save will work - and if the sword is in your version, too.

Kiya, the Magical sword and the rings you are referring to are there in the English version too, even for my characters with a sub-par Luck.

Thanks, Warhammer this sword is really nice => indestructable (sp?). Never needed repair. My chars didn't have this skill.

i tend to get lumbered with poo-peice equipment i am not using because i cant get rid of it at any merchants. i think that all the merchants i have seen so far are pointless. they have no money and no good items. i think that this is just really annoying and leaves people who may be already a bit upset with the endless dungeon at the beggining even more annoyed because they cant delete their misplaced skill points from their characters. i think that its nearly ruined the game.

My understanding is that the 1.4 patch addresses this. Can't say I've found out, since I've downloaded it, but haven't had the chance to play, yet.
