I am trying to get the editor updated for definitive edition, but I'm encountering a crash problem :

I dowloaded again the divinity engine 2 data DLC, and the editor (I uninstalled the previously installed editor and deleted the divinity engine 2 folder prior to that).

Upon starting the newly-installe deditor, I get a prompt asking me for the data folder.

I input the correct folder ("D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\Data" , and i can see an "editor" sub-folder in this folder), but the editor crashes after that. Every time I try to launch it, I get an immediate crash.

Can you help me ? Thanks.

the DefEd isnt out yet...im sure it will use its own set of data dlc

See the top post in the general modding section. The editor for DE has not been released yet, so when you re-installed the editor you got the classic version and then gave it a path to the DE data, which it doesn't understand - hence the crash.

Thanks for the answer (I hadn't seen that post) ; I wasn't sure if the editor was released or not, since the guide is out and the DLC adds files for the editor's definitive edition. I'll just wait a few days then.
